Objective
To provide a clear and transparent process for the refund of fees to students who withdraw their admission or cancel their enrolment.
Eligibility for Refund
Students who withdraw their admission or cancel their enrolment within the specified time frame are eligible for a refund of fees.
Refund Process
- Application for Refund: Students must submit a written application for a fee refund to the administration office. The application should include the reason for withdrawal or cancellation and any supporting documents.
- Processing Time: The refund application will be processed within 15 days from the date of submission.
- Refund Amount: The refund amount will be determined based on the following criteria:
- 100% Refund: If the application for withdrawal is submitted 15 days or more before the formally notified last date of admission.
- 90% Refund: If the application for withdrawal is submitted less than 15 days before the formally notified last date of admission.
- 80% Refund: If the application for withdrawal is submitted within 15 days after the formally notified last date of admission.
- 50% Refund: If the application for withdrawal is submitted between 16 to 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission.
- No Refund: If the application for withdrawal is submitted more than 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission.
Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are non-refundable under any circumstances
- Admission processing fee
- Examination fee
- Any other fees specified as non-refundable in the admission brochure
Return of Original Documents
The institution will not retain the original documents of the students. All original documents submitted during the admission process will be returned to the students upon withdrawal or cancellation of admission.
Appeal Process
- Students who are not satisfied with the refund decision may appeal to the Scholarship Committee. The appeal must be submitted in writing within 10 days of receiving the refund decision
- The committee will review the appeal and communicate the final decision within a stipulated time frame
Compliance with UGC Norms
The institution will adhere to the University Grants Commission (UGC) norms for fee refunds and ensure compliance with the guidelines issued by the UGC from time to time.
